Dr. Danielle Wallek

Dr. Wallek grew up in East Texas and moved to Corpus Christi in November 2013 where she joined the Animal Medical and Surgical Hospital team. Dr. Wallek purchased the clinic in May of 2014. She attended Texas A&M University and earned a bachelor's degree in biomedical science in 2006. In 2010, she received her Doctor of Veterinary Medicine from Texas A&M University. Dr. Wallek and her husband, Dustin, and children, Abigail and Caden, live in Corpus Christi with their dogs, Copper and Trigger.

Dr. Jeanette Curran

Dr. Curran grew up in Corpus Christi and has spent most of her life here. She earned a bachelor’s degree in Biomedical Science from Texas A&M University – Kingsville. In 2016, she graduated from Texas A&M University – College Station with a Doctorate in Veterinary Medicine and joined the Animal Medical team shortly thereafter. Dr. Curran has contributed new views on medicine and animal health. She spends most of her free time expanding her clinical knowledge and enjoys time with her family and lovable Terrier, Eddie.

Dr. Katelyn Ingram

Dr. Ingram and her husband, Austin, grew up in Weatherford, Texas. She graduated with her bachelor’s degree in Animal Science and Industry from Kansas State University in 2015 and then earned her Doctorate of Veterinary Medicine from Kansas State University College of Veterinary Medicine in 2019. Dr. Ingram has been a part of the AMCC family since 2020. Her professional interests include surgery and ultrasound. Dr. Ingram has earned Certificates of Proficiency in both Soft Tissue Ultrasound and Echocardiography through the Veterinary WAVE program. In her free time Dr. Ingram enjoys going to the ranch and the beach with Austin, their daughter Erin, and two Brittany Spaniels, Paisley and Goose. The Ingram family is excited to welcome another baby girl in the spring.

Dr. Beth Maddox

Dr. Maddox grew up in Evans, Georgia. She earned her Bachelor’s degree in Biological Sciences at the University of Georgia. She went on to earn her Doctorate in Veterinary Medicine at the University of Georgia College of Veterinary Medicine. After graduating in 2016, she moved to Virginia Beach where she practiced at a small animal private practice for five years. It was there that she met her husband, Andrew, who is a Navy pilot. They moved to Corpus Christi after he was stationed in Kingsville. Dr. Maddox joined the AMCC family officially in early 2022. The Maddoxes have a daughter, Cora, and another one on the way! Dr. Maddox has a black labrador named Rylee and loves large breed dogs. Her professional interests include surgery and preventive medicine. Her hobbies include traveling, hiking, reading, baking, spending time outdoors, and trying new foods.

Dr. Samantha Garza

Dr. Garza grew up in Needville, Texas. She earned her Bachelor’s degree in Animal Science Pre-Vet, with a minor in Biochemistry, from Texas A&M University-Kingsville. In 2018, Dr. Garza graduated from Texas A&M University-College Station with a Doctorate in Veterinary Medicine. After graduation, Dr. Garza practiced large and small animal medicine in South Texas before shifting solely to small animal medicine relief work in 2021. Being a relief veterinarian, Dr. Garza is able to split her time between operating a small business with her husband, Tom Garza, and still practicing her passion for veterinary medicine throughout South Texas. The Garzas live/operate on a small ranch in George West, Texas with their 7 dogs (Rizzy, Reveille, Ace, Koozie, Missy, Elsa, & Sierra) and 4 cats (Catniss, Dolly Purrton, Katie Purry, & Stunt Man Michael).

Dr. Juliane Johnston

Dr. Johnston grew up in the metro Atlanta area. She enrolled in a DVM/PhD program at the University of Georgia and received her Ph.D. in Physiology & Pharmacology in 2014 and her Doctorate of Veterinary Medicine in 2016. She then pursued a residency program in Laboratory Animal Medicine at Emory University and became a Diplomate of the American College of Laboratory Animal Medicine (DACLAM) in 2019. She moved to Corpus Christi in 2019 with her husband, Alex, and two children. She now has four daughters ages 8 months to 10 years (Reagan, McKinley, Kennedy, and Taylor) and three elderly rescue dogs (Freyja, Lady Bug, and Dot).

Dr. Erica Rappmund

Dr. Erica Rappmund is from San Antonio, Texas where she was very active in her FFA program at East Central High School. She has always had a special love for animals and knew from a very young age that she wanted to be a veterinarian. She went on to complete her Bachelor of Science in Animal Science and Doctor of Veterinary Medicine at Texas A&M University in College Station, Texas. After graduation, she lived and worked in Eagle Pass, Texas for 3 years before moving to Corpus Christi in August of 2021. She started here at Animal Medical Corpus Christi in February of 2023 and has loved every minute of working with such a great team.

Dr. Rappmund is married to Welden Rappmund, who is a Texas Game Warden. They have a daughter, Katie, and a son Warren. They have 4 dogs and 2 cats, Buddy (Labrador), Jet (Labrador) and Harry (Great Pyrenees mix), Benji (Terrier Mix), Otis and Todd. They love to spend time outdoors together with their family and friends fishing, hiking and hunting. Their children mean the world to them and they devote much of their time to activities with them.
